Selena Gomez wants to become a mother one day — one day soon! And she was dead set on it whether she had a man in her life or not!
In an interview published with TIME on Wednesday, the actress opened up about how she eventually got so used to being alone after not dating for five years that she made alternative plans for motherhood. She says she planned to adopt if she “had not met anyone” by the time she turned 35! Selena shared:

Selena worked with the music producer several times since 2015. She told the outlet she thought of him as only a friend for the longest time. The Only Murders in the Building star even asked him to play matchmaker and set her up with someone he knew at one point! But things changed when Benny took her to meet his friend at a birthday party. It suddenly clicked for her, and she realized she liked him! She said:
After six months of secretly dating last year, Selena confirmed their relationship in December. And as for where they stand on starting a family almost a year into their relationship? The couple seem to be on the same page about having kids in the future! Benny said on The Howard Stern Show earlier this month that he wants to marry and have children with Selena, not necessarily in that order! He noted that having a child is his “next goal!” Wow!
Good thing, too, since Selly is 31 now. So she’s pretty close to the point where she was just going to break that emergency glass! LOLz!
