Celtic hero Scott Brown admits he has 'itchy feet' to get back in to the dugout.
But the Parkhead icon has enjoyed his downtime after he and former Rangers star Steven Whittaker were let go by Fleetwood Town in England's League One. Brown made the move to the Cods, his first full managerial position, in 2022 after leaving a player/coach role at Aberdeen under Stephen Glass. The iconic 'Broony' admitted it was a steep but valuable learning curve at Highbury, before former Hibs manager Lee Johnson replaced him.
And while doing the Scottish Cup third round draw live with presenter Gordon Duncan, the 38-year-old Celtic legend quipped that he could quite happily continuing making a living doing TV work like conducting the draw. The former midfielder then returned to more serious matters, saying getting back in to a "routine" of management is well in his plans.
He said: "It was great to be down and get a great understanding for myself and Steven (Whittaker) to go down to England. We enjoyed it - we had some great times last season, not so many this season but we all bounce back."
"From now on, I'll do these things and work with you (Duncan) as a presenter - it's lovely at this stage," the former midfielder then added: "I'm getting itchy feet now. It's been good to have some family time and see the kids growing up - I've been away the past couple of years. But now it's getting back to the stage where I'm looking to get back into that routine."
