A pub in a Scottish town has been "immortalised" after being used as a filming location for a Hollywood blockbuster. The Tower Bar in Livingston was asked to close up for a day by the team behind Damaged, a film set for release this month, Edinburgh Live reports.
Featuring a stellar cast - including Samuel L Jackson, Vincent Cassel, Gianni Capaldi and John Hannah - the film tells the story of a Chicago detective brought back to the past after a murder in Edinburgh.
Directed by Terry McDonough, Damaged is set for release on April 12 and was filmed at several locations in Edinburgh and West Lothian.
Staff at the pub said being a location in the filming was "so special". Taking to Facebook, The Tower Bar said: "So last year we were approached about the pub being used to film scenes for an upcoming film called Damaged.
"We were asked to close on a Friday night for filming, which meant cancelling our karaoke and we were sworn to secrecy and couldn’t tell anyone why we were closed. As soon as the film crews arrived inevitably word got out, it was so special for the Tower to be asked and a fantastic experience for the team to be part of too.
"Its made sure that no matter what the future brings, even decades from now your favourite pub is immortalised forever in a blockbuster movie. The film is released this week and we cant wait to see it, we even managed to get John Hannah to stick a Tower For An Hour tee on for a picture too."
The film stars Jackson as Dan, a Chicago detective travelling to Scotland to link up with a local detective after a serial killer's crimes match an unsolved case.
A trailer for the film released in March begins with Jackson's character Lawson getting a blast from the past when a cold case re-emerges in

Dennis Harvey Film Critic At their least, the myriad serial-killer movies that followed in the imitative wake of “Se7en” three decades ago have gotten the grisly part down, but find compelling suspense, atmospherics and original narrative ideas harder to come by. Such is certainly the case with “Damaged,” which serves up a considerable number of victims’ severed limbs, yet is likely to leave scant impression — scarring or otherwise — on the viewer.
