Police investigating an alleged assault which left a man in hospital with serious head injuries have made an arrest.

A manhunt is underway after a Scots OAP was battered in broad daylight.
Police received reports of a man being assaulted in Forrest Road, Edinburgh, at around 2.30pm on Friday.
Officers found a 73-year-old man with a serious head injury at the scene and he was rushed to Royal Infirmary Edinburgh for treatment.
His current medical condition was not disclosed by police.
The suspect is described as being in his late twenties, between five foot, ten inchess and six foot tall and of a muscular build, with facial hair.
At the time of the incident he was wearing a dark, hooded jacket and spoke with a local accent.
Police said he was accompanied by another man who is described as being in his late twenties and of a similar height, with black hair and facial hair.
He was wearing an orange jacket.
Officers urge those with dash cam footage to come forward.
Any information that could help with their probe can be passed on anonymously.
Detective Constable Kieran Keddie said: “This incident saw a man sustain a serious head injury and it is vital we trace those involved. “I am appealing for anyone with any information which may assist us to get in touch. “I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time and who may have dash cam footage to contact us. "Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 quoting incident 1912 of May 13.
