A male paedophile who transitioned to a woman after being arrested has complained of not getting access to hormone treatment behind bars.
Joseph White, convicted of the horrific sexual abuse of a two-year-old girl and an 11-year-old girl, is also demanding a move from HMP Barlinnie to a more “trans-friendly” jail.

In a series of handwritten letters from prison, White, who now goes by the name Jo, said: “I’m losing access to the drugs that help me transition and live as me, as Jo, as a girl.
“Being stopped by the very gender clinic that is supposed to be supporting me, that is supposed to protect me and is their duty to provide ethical medical support and care.
“The same gender clinic that gave me my diagnosis and strongly supported me starting HRT in the first place.”
White who repeatedly molested the two-year-old and used WhatsApp to share fantasies about assaulting her with other perverts was jailed in 2018.
