A Scots man has been reported missing in Thailand in an 'out of character' disappearance.
David Goldthorpe, from Edinburgh, was last seen in the holiday resort of Phucket last Wednesday. The UK Government have confirmed that they are in contact with the family of a British man who has been reported as missing in Thailand.
His family in Scotland are desperately searching for answers and have appealed to the public for help on social media.
A post on Missing People Scotland said: "My best friends dad has been missing since last Wednesday in Thailand.
"The family are worried sick as this is not in his character to not contact anyone. He's from Edinburgh any help in sharing this would be much appreciated."
