Scots comedian Kevin Bridges has led tributes to a “very talented artist” who painted canvases for him down the years.
Ayrshire artist Michael Ramage died on January 5 and he had previously created a number of artworks for the Clydebank funny man.
The comedian shared a tribute on Twitter on Saturday which read: “Sad to hear of the death of Michael Ramage, a very talented artist from Ayrshire who painted a couple of cracking canvases for me over the years.
“By all accounts a brilliant guy as well. Thinking of his family and pals.”
The tribute was shared along with a picture of Kevin standing in front of one of the artworks.
Dad Michael commented on the picture at the time to say: “Four years ago I done this one for the big legend then a second one. Doing work for someone so famous was a complete high. Thank you.”
Many morer tributes and pictures of Michael’s art have been shared on social media.
One woman wrote on Facebook: “Words can not describe, my heart goes out to all the family.
“You truly were a delight to have in life and your smile will always light up this town.
“You were an amazing dad…and you will always be remembered.
“Rest easy, we all love you, and you will be sorely missed by everyone.”
Ayr restaurant The Smoking Goat Bar & Grill wrote: “We are extremely sorry and saddened to hear the passing of our good friend Michael Ramage.
“Michael would light up any room with his infectious smile. He really was one of life’s true gents. A family man and an incredible artist. Our thoughts go out to his family and friends. Another good guy taken far too early.
