Jimmy Crerar raced an expectant mum to the hospital last month when she went into labour in Dundee.
The 42-year-old was left shocked but delighted when Caitlin Nuttall gave birth to daughter Elidh in his vehicle.
His friends decided to surprise him with a midwife costume to wear on their four-day trip to the German city of Hamburg.
Jimmy, who is getting married in November, said he was pleased by the outfit as he expected them to come up with far worse.
And he sent a photo of his get-up to proud mum Caitlin, 22, who thought it was hilarious.
Caitlin called for a taxi on August 1 after realising she was going into labour at home.
Jimmy, who works for Tele Taxis, raced to Ninewells Hospital with Caitlin’s water breaking on the journey.
