For several years now, Bill Murray (“The French Dispatch”) has been a good luck charm for director Wes Anderson, a perennial member of his troupe, but he’s a notoriously hard get. You need a killer script and an “in” to get him to read it.

“Aziz Ansari is an incredible talent and, with this script, he brings a singular combination of insightful humor and pathos,” Searchlight presidents David Greenbaum and Matthew Greenfield said in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be partnering with him on his feature directorial debut which is long overdue, and of course working with the genius Bill Murray once again.”Taylor Friedman and Cameron Chidsey are overseeing the project for Searchlight Pictures.

Aziz Ansari (Master of None, Parks and Recreation) is making his feature directorial debut with an untitled dramedy for Searchlight, based on the 2014 non-fiction book Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by surgeon Atul Gawande, in which he’ll star alongside Oscar nominee Bill Murray (The French Dispatch, Lost in Translation), Deadline has confirmed.

According to legal documents obtained by TMZ, Brad said he invested a great deal of money and time into Chateau Miraval in Correns, in France, throughout the years.

Brad Pitt is filing a lawsuit against Angelina Jolie over a business transaction she conducted involving Chateau Miraval, the Correns, France winery they had purchased as a couple, of which she subsequently sold her share to Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler. The 58-year-old actor, in legal docs reviewed by TMZ, is asking the court to reverse a pact Jolie, 46, made that delivered her share to Stoli Group subsidiary Tenute del Mondo, which is ran by Shefler, and award him damages in connection with the transaction. The Shawnee, Oklahoma-born actor said in court docs that he and Jolie initially purchased the winery in 2008 for $28.

The film is expected to make $27 million between Friday and Sunday and $30 million through President’s Day on Monday. Some box office prognosticators believe “Uncharted” could reach $35 million in its first four days in theaters.

Sony will release it’s first movie of 2022, and second Tom Holland title after Spider-Man: No Way Home over the 4-day Presidents Day weekend, Uncharted, in what is expected to be a $70M+ haul worldwide.
