Britney Spears has become a chart-topping author, following her new memoir selling over one million copies in its first week.Titled The Woman In Me, the book had been teased by the pop star over recent years, and made countless headlines upon its release last month (October 24) for its candid discussion of her career, relationships, 13-year conservatorship and personal experiences.Now, it has been confirmed that the memoir sold over one million copies in the US within its first week, and is currently holding the Number One spot on the New York Times bestsellers chart for non-fiction.The figures were shared yesterday (November 1) via an update from her publisher Gallery Books, which is a division of Simon and Schuster. According to the publisher, The Woman in Me sold 1.1million copies in the US within its first week, and also topped the UK charts after selling nearly 91,000 copies in print within the same timeframe.Spears also shared a statement via the publishing company to mark the milestone, thanking those who purchased the book and showing her gratitude for people letting her tell her story.“I poured my heart and soul into my memoir,” she wrote (via The Independent).

Sam Asghari opened up about the impending release of Britney Spears‘ memoir The Woman in Me and his life after their split.
The 29-year-old model and actor filed to divorce the 41-year-old Princess of Pop in August. He cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the breakup.
During an outing this week, Sam was asked by photographers if he had any concerns about being negatively portrayed within the pages of the book after the split.
He offered a thoughtful response and also revealed if he is back on the dating scene.

Speaking to TMZ, Sam stressed that he was not concerned about being smeared in the book.
“No, I already read it, and I’m very proud of her,” he gushed about Britney. “She put a lot of work to it, and it was very hard. I’m definitely excited, and I’m extremely proud of her. It was a very tough one.”
He continued, saying, “I’ll be the first one in line to buy it.”
Sam also clarified that he was not dating around at the moment. His focus is directed elsewhere: “I’m focused on work right now. That’s what I’m doing. I’m putting a lot of work in stunt training and a lot of acting.”
If you were wondering, an insider revealed how many changes were being made to the book after the couple split. There have also been allusions to a second memoir from Britney.
This is not the first time that Sam has shown support to Britney since their split. Earlier this month, he slammed a controversial star who was making fun of his ex.
