A man from Salford arrested after the death of a pensioner who was hit by a taxi has been released from custody, police have confirmed.
The 50-year-old was quizzed by police in Merseyside in connection with the fatal collision.
He was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving in the early hours of Sunday morning.
Police have now confirmed the man, who hasn't been named, has been released
