Yes, it's very nearly that time of year again when the skies will be lit up with bold and colourful fireworks and the streets filled with loud bangs.
This year, Bonfire Night falls on Sunday, November 5, but you can expect to see many people celebrating early throughout the week. While many displays across Greater Manchester are being cancelled, Salford council will be going on ahead with two firework weekends at Buile Hill Park and Prince's Park. There are also some private bonfires.
Bonfire Night is celebrated every year in the UK marking the failed gunpowder plot which sought to blow up the House of Lords and King James I in 1605. The plot was initiated by Guy Fawkes, which is why some people refer to the holiday as Guy Fawkes Night.
