Saffron Barker has given an update on Connor Ball after witnessing her friend’s horrific injury from the Dancing On Ice audience last night, Sunday 27 February. Saffron, 21, took to Instagram prior to the ITV show starting to share her support for The Vamps’ star, but things took a turn for the worst when Connor was rushed off the ice after his performance after his blade went into his leg mid-skate. Giving an update on Connor, 25, after watching her friend’s performance live, Saffron told OK!: “Connor’s doing okay.
I mean, when you saw it in person though… it looked worse than it did on TV. He hit the ground so hard. “I can’t even imagine how he would have been feeling and the fact that he carried on through that and even through the judges’ scores just goes to show how brave he was.” Saffron continued: “It was horrible seeing it, especially as a friend of yours.
It was horrible. “I felt his frustration because I know if that was me, if you haven’t done that in your rehearsals you would be so frustrated. Everything aside from the fall was literally perfection with the dance.
You couldn’t tell who was the professional [skater was] it was that good.” Get exclusive celebrity stories and fabulous photoshoots straight to your inbox with OK!'s daily newsletter .
