Rylan reveals he attempted suicide after his marriage ended due to him cheating

Rylan Clark has opened up about the end of his six year marriage, due to infidelity, and the impact this had on his mental health. The TV presenter says that his mental health got so bad that he ended up attempting suicide, which he is now glad he was unsuccessful at.The 33 year old revealed that he had cheated on ex-husband Dan Neal years ago, but only confessed this to him in May 2021, which ultimately led to Dan walking out on the six year marriage. Rylan has opened up about his mental health struggles, and life in general, in his new book Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, which is set to be published next week on Tuesday 27 September.
Speaking about his divorce, Rylan said: “For the first time in my 32 years, I felt I couldn’t carry on no more. “‘What’s the point?’ I thought. I’d lost what I thought was everything, the one thing I always wanted.
A man I loved. A family of my own. And now it was gone.
“So I tried to end it. I won’t go into detail as I don’t think it’s fair on my mum, but thank God I was unsuccessful.” Following this, the popular TV personality, admitted himself to hospital and took a five-month career break. Attending a book talk at Royal Festival Hall, Rylan has discussed his own infidelity, saying: “I have no excuses for what I did way back then, but I had my reasons.
