Rylan Clark shares sweet tribute to his ‘tele mother’ Ruth Langsford on her birthday

TV presenting star Rylan Clark has paid a tribute to his dear friend and former co-star Ruth Langsford as she celebrates her 62nd birthday. Supermarket Sweep host Rylan, 33, posted a heartfelt tweet to Ruth today, referring to the Loose Women lead as his 'tele mother', being that the pair often co-presented This Morning together after he was made main relief presenter in 2014.The star, who presents his own Radio 2 show, wrote: "Happiest of birthdays to the tele mother @RuthieeL may we have many more years of holding each others hand xxx", followed by a red heart emoji.

It seems as though the presenting pair have acquired a very special relationship during their time in the spotlight together, with Ruth - who also fronts Channel 5's How the Other Half Lives alongside husband Eamonn Holmes - having referred to Rylan as her 'TV son' on numerous occasions in the past.
When the former X Factor contestant was taken to hospital following a holiday illness last month, mum-figure Ruth comforted him with a sweet message that read: "Speedy recovery son… sending lots of love."
