Fenerbahce president Ali Koç has told misfit Ryan Kent that he WON'T be allowed to leave in January despite a nightmare campaign in Istanbul.
The former Rangers wide man has struggled to hold down a regular starting spot in the Super Lig after leaving the Scottish Premiership as a free agent last summer with the majority of his minutes coming in the Europa Conference League. The 26-year-old has not started a league game for Fenerbahce since opening day of the season and has hinted he could be searching for an exit route - after clearing all mention of the club from his social media.
Boss Ismail Kartal has told the Englishman to show "loyalty" to the club and ramp up his fitness behind the scenes - and Kent looks set to see any exit route blocked. Fotospor report that Fenerbahce are considering a move for former Celtic star Jota after he was axed from the Al-Ittihad squad having held an interest in the outcast in the summer.
However, it is claimed that the Saudi Pro League side have yet to be "satisfied" with any approach to take the Portuguese on loan. And with no movement on an arrival, the Fenerbahce supremo looks to have closed the door on a potential move - with reports south of the border claiming Sheffield United are interested in Kent.
Koç told Fotospor: "We told the players and the managers. No one will leave until the end of the season."
