The diet of the invading Russian army has been revealed after Ukrainian troops seized a fully-stocked battlefield kitchen.
Footage captured by Ukraine's servicemen was shared to Reddit overnight, showing a large KamAZ armoured truck equipped with a professional kitchen.
But the paltry selection of food in cupboards - and on the floor - has stunned viewers.
The video gives a tour of the vehicle, seemingly abandoned by Putin 's forces during the relentless fighting in recent weeks, the Daily Star reports.
The storage area of the truck is piled high with several bags of potatoes and onions, while the kitchen area - which looks to have been ransacked by civilians - contains even more loads of the two vegetables.
The soldier, speaking in Ukrainian over the tour, also finds more and more bags of the same two vegetables on the floor, piled high.
He then opens a few drawers to find crockery and one other food item – jars of pickles.
The large jars are actually smashed, so the pickles can't be re-used.
There is also a plastic box filled with different seasoning and spices, to presumably provide some variety to the very basic meals the Russian soldiers are apparently being given.
The variety, or lack thereof, was a source of amusement for those on Reddit.
One user, Dlec1, wrote: “Bubba gumps potato restaurant - we got fried taters, baked taters, boiled taters, cajun taters...”
And another user, Squirrel-bear, pointed out that the contents of the truck might not be all the food the soldiers were being given.
Taking a more pragmatic approach to the video, he wrote: “The ingredients are most likely stored in another truck.
“Pretty weird there were potatoes on the floor, maybe it was on today's menu.
“Soldiers might also eat combat rations
