promises to give fans more fashion, fun and, of course, lots of drama. After two years, the sophomore season of the STARZ series returns to follow the 30-something trio of Renee (Bresha Webb), Whitney (Amber Stevens West), and Sondi (Corbin Reid) — Andrea Bordeaux, who played Ella, departed the series in February 2022, after its debut season — as they navigate the trials and tribulations of being successful career women in pursuit of world domination while juggling their romantic relationships and their connections to one another. As the three strive for personal growth and self-discovery, balancing career, love, and the ups and downs of life in Harlem, New York, they rely on their sisterhood to propel them onward and upward in a world in which they were never meant to do so.The show's logline promises, «At its core, it’s an unapologetically female show about enviable friendship and not only surviving – but thriving together.»And according to the cast, viewers will get all that and more when they tune into the show. ET's Rachel Smith visited the set ahead of the series premiere on May 26, during which Webb, West and Reid teased all the exciting things fans can expect in the second season. «We're doing big things, big style in Harlem, honey! We are taking things by the reins, we're being selfish and not apologizing for it and, might I add, we look fabulous doing it as well,» Webb proclaims.West adds that the cast's real-life friendship enhances their fictional bond, pointing out how close they've gotten while working on the show.

A Black Lady Sketch Show” creator and star Robin Thede is working with the show’s editors to put the finishing touches on Season 4 of the half-hour HBO comedy. “First season,” she tells Variety, “I was like, I want every third line to be a joke. Second season, every other line. Now, literally every line is a joke, even the setups to the punchlines. It’s crazy.” With sketches that riff on relatable themes — like hair woes, ashy skin and the politics of the Black church — “A Black Lady Sketch Show” frames the world from a Black woman’s point of view. Even when the subject matter has nothing to do with Blackness, the show’s existence is impactful, a sentiment Whoopi Goldberg underlined during a recent episode of “The View.”

Fox Entertainment will have its new CEO, Rob Wade, making his debut at the network’s upfront presentation today. Academy Museum of Motion Pictures announced its summer programming will include a new concert film series, public events, education programs and conversations with Oscar-winning costume designer Ruth E. Carter and 14-time Oscar-nominee Diane Warren. The events begin on June 1 with a screening of Spencer Tracy and Katharine Hepburn’s “Desk Set,” followed by a post-screening Q&A with Claire L. Evans and Elizabeth Youle. On June 8, the screening series “A New Wave of K-Cinema: Korean Women Directors” will commence, followed by the June 10 concert film series, “Summer of Music: Concert Films 1959–2020.” The concert film series will kick off with a screening of “Jazz on a Summer’s Day” and conclude on August 23, with “Metallica: Through the Never in 3D” screening.

BreAnna Bell The CW reveals Canadian sitcom “Run the Burbs” will make its US debut as the network unveils its Summer 2023 programming lineup. The network has renewed both newcomers “Family Law” and the comedy “Bump” for second seasons. Starring Jewel Staite and Victor Garber, the legal drama follows lawyer and recovering alcoholic Abigail Bianchi, as she struggles to put her career and family back together after hitting rock bottom. As a condition of her probation, Abby is forced to work at her estranged father’s law firm which results in a dysfunctional family law firm operating to help other families with their own dysfunctions. “Bump” is an Australian comedy-drama series about Olympia Chalmers-Davis, an overachieving 17-year-old student who has a surprise baby and the complications that ensue for the two families involved.

At the beginning of each year, Netflix likes to lay out its entire film slate in a nice video teaser. This is to get people excited by what’s to come, and to also show other studios/streamers that Netflix is still one of the premier destinations for entertainment.
