EastEnders actor Martin Kemp has weighed in on his son Roman Kemp's love life as he says he isn't disappointed that the radio star hasn't settled down yet.
The Spandau Ballet star and his wife Shirlie, who have been married since 1988, admitted they are keen to see Roman and his sister Harley walk down the aisle but only when the time is right for them both.
Shirlie also revealed that she had sat both of her kids down to share her wisdom when it comes to dating as she knows how tough it can be to find the one because the 'world is a scary place', the Mirror reports.
Speaking to Hello Magazine, the singer, who found fame in the 1980s with Wham, said: "I'm not bothered that they're not married or have children. I think the world is a scary place. But if my kids get married, I want to be there."
Sharing some advice, Shirlie added: "What do I tell them? Well, you always have to feel comfortable with someone and not let anyone make you feel insecure.
"But it's different between a girl and a boy. With Harley, I'll say 'make sure he's chasing you, don't you chase.' And with Roman, I'll say, 'Treat her nice.'"
While the mum-of-two hopes to see them both married someday, Martin joked that this probably won't be the case.
He quipped: "I can tell you, you won't be. Roman will do exactly the same thing [as us]" in reference to their private clifftop wedding in St Lucia where they tied the knot on their own.
The 62-year-old Steve Owen star and his wife have had a successful love story which has garnered envy from plenty of their fans.
The happily married couple, who share their kids Roman, 31, and Harley, 34, wed in 1988 and have been together ever since.
It was truly love at first sight for Martin who fell head over heels for the singer
