TV favourites Robert Rinder and Rylan Clark are teaming up for the ultimate Brits abroad trip. The old friends joke that they are "complete opposites" and have very different approaches to travel - but put their differences aside for an epic tour of Europe in a new BBC series.
Rob and Rylan’s Grand Tour sees them following in the footsteps of the 19th Century romantic poet Lord Byron and other grand tourists of the time. Their journey begins in Venice, where viewers will see them trying out glassblowing, tracking down one of the largest paintings on canvas in the world and donning drag for a trip down the city’s Grand Canal.
They admit they have wildly contrasting tastes when it comes to culture. While TV barrister Rinder, 45, is a fan of opera and poetry, presenter Rylan admits he is more of a newcomer in the world of the arts.
