Rita Ora is back on screens, appearing as a judge on the new series of The Voice Australia. And the Brit star dressed to impress for the first episode which aired Down Under on Monday, wowing in a series of backstage shots shared to her Instagram ahead of the broadcast. Rita chose a slinky purple dress for filming, posing up a storm as she showed off her look for her followers.
The dress featured quirky ruching detail and a side split, flashing a glimpse of leg and her stunning yellow-gold heels. The fashion-conscious star accessorised to the max with gold hoop earrings and a matching bangle, while her glam makeup featured winged purple eyeshadow to match her dress. Rita was left stunned by The Voice Australia contestant Danny Phegan's stellar blind audition on Monday night.
But judge Rita was also baffled by the 45-year-old singer's very Australian turn of phrase when he uttered the slang term 'fair dinkum' following his powerful performance. 'Fair what?' asked the perplexed English singer-songwriter. Her Australian counterpart Guy Sebastian then explained that the well-worn Australian phrase meant 'seriously' or 'honestly'.
However Rita then butchered her own attempt at using the expression, saying '[I] fair dickum love singing,' to the amusement of her fellow judges. 'I fair dickum love you,' she added, pointing at Phegan, seemingly unaware that her accidentally R-rated version of the term wasn't quite right.
