Two teenage boys and a man have been arrested after drugs raids in Oldham. Police said the three - two boys aged 17 and a 58-year-old - were held 'in connection with the supply of prohibited drugs'.
All three remained in police custody for questioning on Friday morning. Greater Manchester Police said warrants were executed at dawn at several addresses in the town.
A haul of drugs was also seized in the strikes. In a statement, GMP said the raids came as part of Operation Vortex, a crime crackdown in Oldham. Images tweeted by the force show officers in riot gear using a wham ram to break down a front door and a suspect in handcuffs being put in the back of a police van.

The force said: "Three man have been arrested on suspicion of drugs offences after early-morning warrants in Oldham this morning.
"Just after 6am this morning, officers from GMP's Oldham Central Neighbourhood Policing Team executed warrants at several addresses. A quantity of controlled drugs was seized and three men, two aged 17 and a 58-year-old, were arrested in connection with the supply of prohibited drugs and remain in custody for questioning."
Inspector Nick Derbyshire, of GMPs Oldham division, said: "These warrants were executed as part of Operation Vortex, which is an on-going monthly operation targeting a different part of the Oldham district each time as part of a major push to crack down on violence, drugs, weapons and anti-social behaviour.
