After theatres were forced to shutter in March due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, moviegoers in Alberta will be among the first in the country to experience big-screen thrills this weekend when locations in Edmonton and Calgary reopen.
Cineplex opened six theatres across the province — three in Edmonton and three in Calgary — with enhanced safety measures on Friday. More locations will follow in British Columbia, Saskatchewan, Quebec, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia and Newfoundland on July 3.
