The latest development in the ongoing legal battle between Rebekah Vardy and Coleen Rooney has shown the explosive texts 39 year old Rebekah allegedly sent to her agent. Coleen first made the claims that Rebekah's account were guilty of leaking stories about her to the press in 2019, something which the mum of five has denied and has since filed a libel lawsuit against Coleen.
As the lawsuit continues, Rebekah’s lawyer Hugh Tomlinson QC has shared a series of WhatsApp messages she sent to her agent Caroline Watt in a bid to "demonstrate beyond doubt that she was not responsible for leaking private information". He said, as reported by The Sun: "Such messages include Ms Vardy’s shocked reaction when she first discovered that Ms Rooney suspected her of leaking stories." One message Rebekah wrote to Caroline read: “Someone on her Instagram regularly sells stories on her.
Bet it’s their PR again, has to be." "I really can’t see anyone being that a*sed with selling stories on her,” read another. In response to the messages being shown, Coleen’s lawyer David Sherborne said vital messages are missing from the exchange between the two women.The alleged missing parts of the conversation cannot be recovered, however, as Caroline is said to have dropped the phone that contained the relevant messages into water last summer.
