Princess Eugenie recently celebrated as her second born son Ernest turned one.
The little royal arrived on May 30, 2023, making him the newest addition to Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank's growing family, which includes their first son, August. Eugenie, now 34, and her sister Princess Beatrice are embracing motherhood together, with Beatrice having welcomed her daughter Sienna back in September 2021.
These new arrivals have certainly spiced up the royal succession line-up, placing Beatrice at ninth, followed by Sienna, then Eugenie, August, and baby Ernest.
August and Ernest haven't been given any royal titles, but Sienna boasts a title that's unrelated to her British Royal heritage. Thanks to her father Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's aristocratic Italian roots, she's entitled to be called a countess, reports the Mirror.
Edoardo, being the sole male heir, carries on his family's legacy as a count, which extends to his wife becoming a countess and their children earning the titles of count or nobile donna. Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi, Edoardo's father, shared with the Daily Mail: "Edoardo is the only male descendent taking the family into the next generation.
He is a count, his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna." Neither Princess Beatrice nor Princess Eugenie's little ones are in line for royal titles, as they're not direct grandchildren of the reigning monarch, which is now King Charles. The royal rule is that only the children of the monarch, the sons of the monarch, and the eldest living son of the Prince of Wales can be styled with HRH status and carry the titles of prince or princess.
