Ramy Youssef Says ‘Ramy’ Will End With Season 4 & He Wants Yorgos Lanthimos To Appear

EXCLUSIVE: Mamoudou Athie is set to join the all-star ensemble of Yorgos Lanthimos next film at Searchlight Pictures And. He joins Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe, Margaret Qualley, Hong Chau and Joe Alwyn. Lanthimos will direct with a script developed by Element Pictures and Film4 and penned by Lanthimos and Efthimis Filippou, the film is produced by Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe of Element, along with Kasia Malipan and Lanthimos.

DC’s Stargirl is coming to an end. The series will conclude with its third season, which is currently airing on The CW.

Last month, news broke that Yorgos Lanthimos already has his next movie after “Poor Things” lined up with “And.” And several “Poor Things” cast members return for the newly announced film, including Emma Stone, Margaret Qualley, and Willem Dafoe, with Lanthimos newcomer Jesse Plemons also on board. The end is in sight for the CW’s Nancy Drew. The network confirmed Wednesday that the fourth season, which is currently in production, will be the last for the series. Season 4 is slated to premiere midseason. A premiere date and time will be announced later.

Chau, who has been prolific in recent years, joins a stacked ensemble featuring Emma Stone, Jesse Plemons, Willem Dafoe and Margaret Qualley. Plot details are (frustratingly) under wraps from the Greek master of subversion, who has also given us “The Killing of a Sacred Deer” and “Dogtooth.” Lanthimos directs from a script he wrote with Efthimis Filippou (reuniting after both “Lobster” and “Sacred Deer”). Searchlight Pictures is financing and distributing the project with Element Pictures and Film4. Ed Guiney and Andrew Lowe of Element, Kasia Malipan and Lanthimos are producing. Principal photography begins this month in Chau’s native New Orleans.

Hulu’s “The Hardy Boys” is coming to an end. The series will conclude with its third season on the streamer, set to air next year.The show came from Corus Entertainment studio Nelvana and Lambert Productions, and debuted on the streamer in 2020.“From its inception, it’s been a joy to work with Lambur Productions, Hulu and YTV on ‘The Hardy Boys’ and introduce these iconic characters and gripping adventures to a new generation,” Pam Westman, president of Nelvana, said in a statement.

Filming on the final eight, hour-long episodes is underway in Toronto and southern Ontario, Canada. The story is expected to pick up following the cliffhanger events in the second season, and follow the boys and their friends as they dig up more secrets and conspiracies. Meanwhile, they’ll continue piecing together their great-grandfather’s map to uncover a powerful relic before it falls into the wrong hands.
