Rangnick, 63, suggested on Wednesday he would stay in Manchester next season and fulfil his two-year consultancy role after his interim period ends.
When asked if he would be at United next season, Rangnick replied: "Yeah, I will be. I'm looking forward to working in that advisory role and obviously helping Erik [ten Hag] as much as he wants it himself.
"So far, we haven't been able to speak with each other and we have had no contact. He has his focus on Ajax, I have my focus on Manchester United here.
"Obviously, I'm more than willing and prepared to help both Erik and whomever in the club in order to change everything for the better."
Rangnick insisted on a consultancy role tagged onto his interim contract during negotiations with United in November.
