Rachel McAdams Reflects on 20-Year Career While Making Rare Appearance at CinemaCon in Vegas

Rachel McAdams is all smiles while walking the red carpet at CinemaCon!
The 43-year-old actress was honored with the Vanguard Award during the awards presentation that took place on Thursday night (April 28) at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.
Rachel was joined by her young co-star Abby Ryder Forston while promoting their new movie Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret at the Lionsgate presentation in the afternoon.
While appearing on the carpet at the awards presentation, Rachel reflected on her 20-year career.

“I mean, in some ways I feel like I’ve just started, so it’s just funny to hear that. In other ways, I just feel lucky I’ve been able to do it this long. So, it’s great,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “I don’t think I’ve taken the time to really think about it, I was just like, ‘You’re gonna give me an award? I’ll show up. Sure!’”
Rachel also talked about being back at the movies.
“It’s such a beautiful moment to be a part. I was enjoying it just from my local movie theater last weekend. I was like, watching a comedy, but crying from happiness just sitting in that seat,” she said. “So, then to be here, for this event, for people that have persevered through this and are still passionate about bringing movies and the community of watching movies together, back — it’s emotional.”
