EXCLUSIVE: The Little, Brown imprint Voracious has set a fall 2025 publication date for two books exploring the creative genius of Quentin Tarantino in the making of Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood, and Inglourious Basterds.
The books are written by Jay Glennie, and each will have a foreword written by Tarantino. Voracious VP/Publisher Michael Szczerban acquired world rights from Shane Salerno at The Story Factory.
The books will explore the making of these films in depth and detail, the result of hours of interviews that Glennie did with Tarantino about the creation, writing, casting, themes, visuals, production, soundtrack, post-production, and global theatrical releases of both films. Aside from the interviews, Tarantino opened his personal archives to Glennie. Over 50 cast and crew also supplied anecdotes and photographs.
The books will include unseen personal photographs, behind-the-scenes stories, script drafts, notes, and changes, production and location materials, shooting schedules, and more— painting a complete picture of each movie. Glennie has written books about the making of seminal films including Raging Bull and The Deer Hunter.
Once Upon A Time…in Hollywood grossed $377M WW and was nominated for ten Oscars including Best Picture, and Inglourious Basterds got eight Oscar noms including Best Picture, and grossed $322 million theatrically worldwide.
