The Queen has carried out her first official duties from home after fears surrounding her health emerged last week. After Prince Charles, 73, was announced as testing positive for COVID-19, it was revealed the 95 year old monarch had been in contact with her son in the days beforehand. Now the Queen has put fears to rest as she conducted royal duties via video-link in Windsor Castle.
She held virtual audiences with a number of important figures just days after her son was said to be isolating. Despite isolating herself, the royal looked every inch the regal leader in a stunning floral dress. Her hair styled into her signature 'do, the Queen also opted for understated makeup and a set of pearls around her neck. In the images, the royal was pictured greeting the Estonian ambassador, Viljar Lubi.
The ambassador spoke to Her Majesty from Buckingham Palace, and the pair had an easy rapport despite the unorthodox greeting methods. In more photos, the Queen also smiled and chatted to the Ambassador of Spain, Jose Pascual Marco Martinez.The computer had been placed on top of a historical bookcase in the middle of a grand reception room, and one of her aides read out the important details of her guests ahead of each meeting.
