Her Majesty, 96, has recently been pictured at several appearances using a walking aid - including at the Order of the Garter service with Prince Charles and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall last week.
However, on Tuesday afternoon, the Queen received a special award from the Archbishop of Canterbury at Windsor Castle where she was seen walking without her mobility aid. She was seen walking across and shaking hands with Archbishop of Canterbury Justin Welby, who presented her with a special 'Canterbury Cross' to mark her service to the Church of England over seventy years.The Queen wore a white dress that was decorated with a pink floral pattern for the occasion, as well as a pair of flat black shoes.
She also wore a simple set of matching pearl earrings and a necklace, as she was seen smiling and conversing with the Archbishop.The latest photo of the monarch comes after she was forced to miss a number of events during her Platinum Jubilee celebrations, including St Paul's Thanksgiving service (June 3), as well as Royal Ascot due to mobility issues. In a statement, Buckingham Palace said the Queen had "greatly enjoyed" her birthday parade and flypast in London but "did experience some discomfort".
