Queen extends olive branch to Meghan and Harry with invite to special occasion

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seem to go through a lot of friends. After all, over the past 12 months, the couple have made impressive efforts to shrink their inner circles – with Harry in particular cutting official ties with his family, moving away from his UK circle, and battening down the hatches with Meghan and their one-year-old son Archie in their Santa Barbara mansion.

Duchess of Sussex donated lunch to a group of military veteran volunteers working to help vulnerable people in Los Angeles as America marked Martin Luther King Jr day. Prince Harry, 36, and Meghan Markle, 39, gave volunteers working for The Mission Continues, a Los Angeles-based organisation helping veterans adjust to life after service through working in the community, lunch on Sunday.

After a year of their exit from the UK and the Royal Family, a friend of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle--Tom Bradby, a journalist who was on the South Africa tour with the Sussexes--recently opened up in an upcoming appearance on ITV’s Love Your Weekend with Alan Titchmarsh and reflected on how the Duke and Duchess were doing since their exit as senior royals.

According to the Sunday Times, Trooping the Colour—the annual military parade celebrating the Queen's official birthday, which was dramatically scaled down last year thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic—is expected to go ahead on June 12, and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are likely to attend.

One year ago this week, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry announced that they would be stepping down from their roles as senior members of the royal family. Since then, they've permanently moved to the Los Angeles area, where they have a home with their son, Archie, in Montecito.
