But rather than a snub to the royal family, expert and author of their biography Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie, tells OK! Meghan’s absence will be due to travel restrictions imposed by Covid.

Prince Harry has been spotted out and about in LA, but he’s not just running errands like the rest of us when we finally leave the house these days.The flame-haired royal was actually seen on Friday on top of an open-air bus, filming with another British export. None other than talk show host James Cordon.

For years, Meghan Markle has endured racist attacks from the British tabloids, in part contributing to her and Prince Harry's decision to step back from their senior royal family roles last year. Prince William, Kate Middleton, and the rest of the royal family never publicly condemned the tabloid treatment of Meghan once she married into the family.

It’s possible Meghan Markle won’t return to the UK with Prince Harry this summer, after all. According to sources with the Daily Mail, the Duchess of Sussex isn’t expected to join her husband due to both “personal and practical” reasons.

Nearly a year after announcing their royal exit, plans for Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s return to the UK for the Queen’s birthday are reportedly well underway—but they still depend on whether it’s safe to travel by then.

According to the Sunday Times, Trooping the Colour—the annual military parade celebrating the Queen's official birthday, which was dramatically scaled down last year thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic—is expected to go ahead on June 12, and Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are likely to attend.
