King Charles and Queen Camilla's Coronation concert yesterday evening was a star-studded occasion filled with incredible performances and comical appearances from The Muppets iconic characters.
Take That, Lionel Richie and Katy Perry all delivered memorable performances at Windsor Castle but the real star of the show was a talented 13-year-old girl who captured everyone's attention.
Blind pianist Lucy Illingworth, who won Channel 4' show The Piano in March, was given a special slot to perform on stage at the Coronation Concert, the Mirror reports.
Lucy impressively performed a rendition of Bach's Prelude in C Major for the newly crowned King and Queen and her talent visibly moved a lot of the audience, including Camilla who appeared close to tears while watching.
Charles and Camilla watched closely as the 13-year-old delivered a note-perfect performance and was met with a warm round of applause by the royals afterwards.
The King and Queen were not the only ones who were left emotional by Lucy's talent as those watching at home flocked to Twitter to share their praise for the young 'star' who had 'stolen the show'.
One gushed: "Can't get over Lucy's talent. Favourite part of the Coronation Concert so far."
Another commented: "I found this piece very moving. Bravo, Lucy." Someone else praised: "Stand out star so far is Lucy, on the Steinway piano!"
A fourth added: "This young lady has had me blubbing in 30 seconds. Absolutely amazing."
Lucy, who is blind and neurodiverse, stole the hearts of the nation on Channel 4's The Piano when she performed Chopin's Nocturne in B flat minor at Leeds Train Station before she continued on to victory at the show's Grand Final in London.
