Channing Tatum… the dog?
You bet! Lucy Hale and Grant Gustin star in the perfect pet pooch movie Puppy Love and of course one of their dogs is named after the hunky movie star!
The romantic comedy goes like this: After a disastrous first date, wild child Nicole (Hale) and socially anxious Max (Gustin) vow to lose each other’s numbers, until they learn that their dogs found a love match, and now puppies are on the way! The hilariously mismatched Nicole and Max are forced to become responsible co-parents, but may end up finding love themselves.
When asked about the use of the name Channing Tatum in the adorable canine movie, Lucy shared, “When you see the movie, you’ll see really absurd things happening, and I’ll be like,”Channing Tatum is not the father,” or “Channing Tatum is watching us.” So, yeah, that’s something I never thought I’d say. I always feel like when people say, “Oh, my dog’s name is Lucy, it’s a really common dog name.” I take it as the highest compliment. So I think hopefully he will be [flattered].”
Grant added, “I never thought I’d say Channing Tatum‘s name so much throughout a shoot!”
As for that nude scene in the film, Grant shared, “There’s a scene where [my character] Max is getting out of the shower, and Nicole comes in and she’s got headphones in and is living her own world. And, you know, comedy ensues and Max is naked throughout the scene. It was my first time shooting a scene like that, and everyone was professional. No one was acting like it was weird that I was not wearing any clothes…But it was oddly liberating. You’re like, all right, I’m naked on set and nobody seems to
