'Prison Break' Reboot In The Works, 2 Original Leads Not Expected to Return

The Damned have announced a 2024 UK tour and the return of their ’80s line-up featuring drummer Rat Scabies.The band – comprising David Vanian, Captain Sensible, Rat Scabies and Paul Gray – will perform 12 shows across the UK next year, marking the first time the line-up has played together in 35 years.The tour will open at Newcastle’s NX on December 4, followed by dates in Manchester, Nottingham, Bristol, Cambridge and more, before closing out the run at London’s Roundhouse on December 18.Tickets will go on general sale this Friday (November 24) at 10am GMT from here. Gavin Plumb, the man accused of planning to kidnap and murder This Morning's Holly Willoughby, has pleaded not guilty in a pre-trial hearing at Chelmsford Crown Court today.The 36 year old security guard from Harlow is facing charges of soliciting to commit murder and incitement to kidnap.The alleged plot to harm TV star Holly was said to have taken place between October 2 and October 5. Plumb was charged on October 6 and has been kept in custody since then. He appeared in court today for his plea and trial preparation hearing.

Prison Break is currently in the early stages of development at Hulu, according to The Hollywood Reporter.The outlet reports that Elgin James, known for hs work on Mayans MC, will serve as the showrunner of the new series.Though further details are largely being kept under wraps for now, THR adds that the revival would be set in the same world as the original, which ran for five seasons between 2005 and 2017.The new episodes, however, reportedly won’t follow the central cast members of the original series, played Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.In the original Prison Break series, Miller and Purcell portrayed brothers Lincoln Burrows and Michael Scofield. Lincoln is sentenced to death for a crime he didn’t commit, while Michael then crafts an elaborate plan to try to get his brother out of prison and clear his name.

The new installment, via 20th Television, is not expected to feature the characters at the center of the original jailhouse drama, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).
