The end has come for Freeform series Cruel Summer and Good Trouble. The Disney-owned cable net has canceled Cruel Summer after two seasons and Good Trouble will end with the second half of its upcoming fifth season, Deadline has confirmed.
BreAnna Bell Freeform will not be moving forward with new seasons of “Cruel Summer” and “Good Trouble,” Variety has confirmed. An anthology series, Season 2 of of “Cruel Summer” followed the rise and fall of an intense teenage friendship. “Approaching the story from three different timelines surrounding Y2K, the season twists and turns as it tracks the early friendship between Megan, Isabella and Megan’s best friend Luke, the love triangle that blossomed, and the mystery that would impact all of their lives going forward,” reads the official description.

Ethan Shanfeld “Prison Break” is getting another sentence, as a new series set in the world of the beloved Fox drama is being developed by Hulu, Variety has confirmed. “Mayans M.C.” co-creator and showrunner Elgin James is writing the show, which is in early stages of development, via his Sierra Drive banner. The new installment, via 20th Television, is not expected to feature the characters at the center of the original jailhouse drama, Michael Scofield (played by Wentworth Miller) and Lincoln Burrows (Dominic Purcell).
