While it is a holiday, it will also mark a solemn occasion — the first anniversary of Prince Philip's funeral at Windsor Castle.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reported to be on their way to the Netherlands later this week to attend the Invictus Games on their first trip together since leaving for the US. It is seeming unlikely though that the couple will venture to the UK during their European visit to see the Windsor family, Royal experts have said.These predictions come as Harry has kept silent on the Queen ’s wish in a statement given in February to have Camilla take position as Queen Consort when Prince Charles becomes King.The 37 year old’s silence and general distance from the Royal family may be in result of his reportedly rocky relationship with Camilla, whom Royal author Tina Brown has said Harry "can't stand" as its been predicted this will be highlighted in his upcoming memoir.

Prince Charles, Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Andrew and other extended family were in attendance.  Prince Harry chose not to attend the thanksgiving service. He had no plans to travel to the United Kingdom during late March, a spokesperson for the royal previously confirmed to Fox News Digital.

The memorial service for the late Duke of Edinburgh (aka Prince Philip, the Queen‘s late husband) was underway earlier today (March 29) at Westminster Abbey in London, England.

Today almost 2000 special guests have gathered at Westminster Abbey to remember Prince Philip. After his funeral was restricted by Covid-19 laws in place last year – which left Her Majesty, 95, sat alone – those who were unable to attend have come together to pay their respects. The day marked the first public outing by Prince Andrew since he settled out of court with Virginia Giuffre, after being accused of sexual assault – which he has denied.

Queen Elizabeth, 95, was photographed out and about in public for the first time since she had COVID-19 in February. On March 29, the Queen attended a service in honor of her late husband, Prince Philip, in London. Various members of the royal family attended the service, and Queen Elizabeth was seated in the front row. She wore a green coat and matching hat for the event.
