The Queen's husband, Prince Philip, has died at age 99 on Friday 9 April, Buckingham Palace has confirmed. A statement read: “It is with deep sorrow that Her Majesty The Queen announces the death of her beloved husband, His Royal Highness The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

The details of Prince Philip's funeral have been confirmed, with the ceremony set to take place on Saturday 17 April at 3pm at St George's Chapel, inside the grounds of Windsor Castle, where the Duke of Edinburgh passed away.The Duke of Edinburgh, who was said to have wanted little fuss at the ceremony, will have his body laid to rest within the private chapel in Windsor Castle, which is also where Prince Harry and Meghan Markle got hitched.
