Prince Louis, the youngest child of the Prince and Princess of Wales, is celebrating his sixth birthday today on Tuesday.
Despite making his public debut just hours after his birth on the steps of the Lindo Wing, Louis has largely been raised away from the public eye.
However, he has participated in several significant royal events, including the late Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations, King Charles' Coronation, and last year's Trooping the Colour.
Yet, there is one major milestone that six-year-old Louis has not yet achieved - an overseas royal tour, something his younger cousin, Prince Archie, who resides in America, has already done.
Due to Covid-related travel restrictions in 2020 and 2021, Louis was unable to go abroad as a toddler reports the Mirror. In contrast, Archie embarked on a royal tour with his parents, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, when he was just a few months old, accompanying them on their 2019 trip to South Africa where he even had the chance to meet Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
Prince Louis' older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, embarked on their first overseas tours at a much younger age. George was a mere nine months old when he visited Australia and New Zealand on his inaugural royal tour.
Meanwhile, Charlotte was just 16 months old when she joined the family for a trip to Canada in 2016. The timing of Louis' first royal tour remains uncertain.
However, he did participate in his first royal engagement last year, marking King Charles' Coronation. He was joined by his parents, Kate and William, and siblings George and Charlotte for the Big Help Out.
