But the couple, who stepped down from their senior royal family roles last spring, made a rare statement yesterday after The Sun and Daily Mail (notably, the two tabloids the couple are suing) alleged that they were planning to create their own "woke" awards ceremony that would "compete" with the Queen's honors list.

Speaking to talkRADIO’s Mike Graham, royal biographer Angela Levin labelled the Sussexes’ reluctance to return as “cowardly” – especially given how frail the Queen and Prince Philip are.
