A local football team say they are ‘fed up’ with the 'wanton vandalism' after a group were caught trespassing on their ground over the weekend.
On Saturday (April 2) Prestwich Heys chairman Neil Gilmore says he was driving past the club’s stadium when he noticed a group of people who were causing trouble at the Adie Moran Park in Whitefield.
He claims the trespassers were trying to light a fire on the stand and says that the vandalism has been going on for ‘months’.

Neil says having caught them in the act, he decided to confront them by filming them
In the video posted by Neil on social media one of the members of the group tells the chairman to ‘get that f****** phone out of my face’ after he explained to them who he was and asked them what they were doing at the ground.
He said that while he is not sure if the people he found on Saturday were responsible for previous incidents, he along with others at the club are ‘fed up’ with constantly having to clear up after troublemakers.
“This has been going on for months, it’s just mindless vandalism," He told the Manchester Evening News.
“They were trying to set a fire on the wooden stand and I walked on as they were doing it.
“They smashed 10 to 12 concrete panels on the fences to get into the ground.
“Sometimes people come on and play football on the pitch, which we don’t like but it’s not a major thing,
“But others are coming on and causing wanton vandalism.
“We’re all getting fed up of it, we’re all volunteers, we’re in a semi-professional league which is a high standard, people are giving up their own time and they’re doing this as a hobby.
“They’re getting here day after day
