Deadline reports that Wan’s Atomic Monster banner and Blumhouse will team up again for “SOULM8TE,” a new spinoff to the early 2023 horror hit.  It’ll be the third film in the “M3GAN” franchise, after “M3GAN 2.0,” which hits theaters next year on June 27, 2025.

Robert De Niro feels he’s been extremely “fortunate to wind up with Marty” for all these years, and Martin Scorsese returned the compliment as the actor and director sat down after a screening of Mean Streets, the 1973 film that marked their first collaboration, and Scorsese’s breakout. They went on to make nine more features together.

William Earl New Cadence Prods. has teamed with Migrant Filmworks to shepherd the release of the indie rom com “Say a Little Prayer,” which marks the film acting debut of Latin music superstar Luis Fonsi. The partners plan to set up a limited theatrical release for the film, directed by Patrick Perez Vidauri, followed by a streaming pact.

Rapper Sexyy Red was arrested over the weekend after being involved in a caught-on-camera brawl at Newark Liberty International Airport in New Jersey. Red, a 26-year-old native of St. Louis whose real name is Janae Nierah Wherry, burst into the middle of a fight in front of a terminal gate early Saturday — with surveillance video obtained by TMZ showing her wielding a metal stanchion, which she held aloft as if ready to strike.

BBC Studios is working on big production and coproduction moves in Central and Eastern Europe as part of a long-term plan have a much deeper presence in the region. Bartosz Witak, General Manager for BBC Studios in CEE, was speaking at NEM Dubrovnik.
