Porter Robinson Announces 'Nurture' LP, New Song On the Way

With the release of Brand New, veteran singer-songwriter Matthew West has embarked on a new chapter in his successful career: the collection marks the first album under his new deal with Sony’s Provident Music Group since launching his own imprint Story House Music.

Coriky—the new band formed by Fugazi’s Ian Mackaye and Joe Lally, alongside Amy Farina—have announced their debut album. The self-titled LP arrives March 27 via Mackaye’s Dischord Records. The Strokes played a set at Bernie Sanders’ rally in Durham, New Hampshire Monday night (February 10). During their performance, the band played a brand new song called “Bad Decisions,” premiered the video for “At the Door,” and at the end, Julian Casablancas said, “Album’s coming out April 10.” (Further details of The New Abnormal—and the official “At the Door” video—were unveiled the following morning.) Berlin producer Hendrik Weber, aka Pantha du Prince, has announced his next album. It’s called Conference of Trees, and it’s out March 6 via Modern Recordings. Ahead of the new LP, Weber has shared lead single “Pius in Tacet,” as well as its accompanying visual. Phantogram have announced their next studio album. It’s called Ceremony and it arrives March 6 via Republic. The duo of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter have also released a new song called “Pedestal,” their first since last year’s “Into Happiness.” Listen to that below.

Neil Hagerty has announced a new album as the Howling Hex. The record is called Knuckleball Express and it arrives April 17 (via Fat Possum). According to press materials, Hagerty recorded the LP at his home in Denver over eight days. It features contributions from guitarist Nicole Lawrence and producer Clay Jones. New York experimental quartet altopalo have announced their sophomore album. It’s called farawayfromeveryoneyouknow and it arrives April 24 via Samedi. Ahead of the new record, they’ve shared the new single “honey,” as well as a string of North American tour dates. Electronic music's favorite sad boy is back with a new bittersweet single, as Porter Robinson debuts "Get Your Wish," the lead single from his forthcoming sophomore LP Nurture.In the "Get Your Wish" video, a giant rogue wave sparkles blue between shots of Robinson sitting wet and forlorn. He languishes with a microphone and soon begins singing in girlish filtered tones over the fast, flowery synth melody.

Nandi Rose has announced a new Half Waif album: The Caretaker is out March 27 (via ANTI-). The LP marks Rose’s first release for the label.
