A much-loved beverage brand has changed the recipe of one of their most popular drinks which they say has a “new irresistible taste” - but it seems like fans couldn’t agree less. Fanta has changed the flavour of its ‘zero sugar’ orange option which lovers of the drink have demanded they “change back immediately.”
The new Fanta Orange Zero was rolled out in supermarkets across the UK in April and is said to boast an even better taste than its original diet Fanta flavour.
Fanta, which falls under The Coca-Cola Company, Fanta Zero - or ‘Fanta Z’ - launched in the early 2000s, replacing Fanta Light. Now the tangy drink has undergone yet another rebrand but fans of the fizzy drinks are less than delighted.

You can distinguish the new Fanta Orange Zero on shelves as it currently has the branding ‘new irresistible taste’ splashed on the front, as well as two asterisks following ‘zero sugar’ which brings you to the back of the package to let consumers know it contains naturally occurring sugars.
Those who have tried the drink have taken to social media to express their disgust at the new taste with one person calling it a “phenomenal downgrade.”

“@foodgov @asa_uk is it even legal them to call it Zero, as in sugar free, with a **saying it does contain sugar now? It's not zero …”
