Popular Ayrshire chef Christopher Dibden, known as Big Dibby, is back with his newly opened takeaway 'Mac and Big Dibby's Kitchen' at Central Avenue in Shortlees.
Chris, who has more than 20 years of experience, opened the new takeaway with one of his old friends, the man he bought his first burger van from.
The chef is popular for the extravagant dishes created at his van in Hurlford - Big Dibby's Kitchen - and gained even more popularity after American YouTuber and professional eater Randy Santel took on his burger challenge at The Buf in Prestwick.
After the successful launch of Mac and Big Dibby's Kitchen in June, the pair are now planning to open a sitting area at the shop next door. The menu at the new venue includes tempura dishes, homemade burgers, wraps, fully loaded hand-cut tortilla nachos, and all of Dibby's sauces.
Chris told Ayrshire Live: "I bought my first burger van off my now business partner back in Hurlford which got me to where I am today. I started from nothing and he was there to help me.
"Now we have our new takeaway which has been really busy since the day it opened and it's even busier now as we are on Kilmarnock Eats. We are hoping to open a seating area in the next few months when we get the shop next door. We don't know the exact date yet as it is still in the process."
The new takeaway is open five days a week and closed on Tuesday and Wednesday while Chris is helping his partner with their children as well as managing his new competition page.
He said: "I have four girls, two of them are young and my youngest has autism so I try to help my partner as much as I can. It can also be hard going trying to run and set up a business as well as a new competition page Epic Competitions which me and other
