Pontins has confirmed it will be closing two of its seaside resorts with "immediate effect".
The statement was made via the organisation's official Facebook page today (November 20). It told customers that both the Prestatyn and Camber Sands locations will be immediately shut down.
Pontins is owned by Britannia Hotels who run a wide array of locations across the UK. The company recorded record profits earlier in the year but ranked as the UK's worst hotel chain by Which? for the 11th consecutive year, the Liverpool Echo reports.

"Customers whose bookings will be affected by these closures will be contacted by our team and refunded. We apologise for any inconvenience caused."
Dozens of people took to the comments section to ask why the destinations would be closing and if it would be "forever". One man said: "I had a feeling this was going to happen. Sad times."
Mia Mariella said: "Is this temporary or for good?" Tracey Bisseker added: "No explanation??"
