Police in Wigan have seized cocaine and cash and apprehended two suspects in a drugs raid this morning. In the early hours of June 28, Greater Manchester Police conducted a warrant at an address in Ashton-in-Makerfield and found the cash and drugs.

Police have taped off a park in Trafford this evening. Officers are guarding a scene at Seymour Park in Old Trafford.
Images from the scene off Humphrey Road show a section of the park has been cordoned off while an investigation is carried out. The nature of the incident is currently unclear.
The M.E.N. has asked Greater Manchester Police for more information. An onlooker said that the incident occurred at about 5.30pm.

The cordon is focused on an area of grass within the park, near some football pitches. Residents reported a police presence at the scene for the past few hours.
Images show several police vehicles and officers remain in place this evening.
