A male cop has been suspended by Police Scotland in connection with the alleged rape of another officer.
The serious sexual assault was reported to the force on Friday October 14, after an incident took place at Scottish Police College at Tulliallan in Kincardine, Fife.
BBC Scotland reports the suspended officer is believed to be in a more senior rank than the alleged victim.
The college is used as a key training site with a variety of courses held there, including basic training for probationers.
Assistant Chief Constable Alan Spiers said: "A report of a serious sexual assault was received on Friday, 14 October, 2022 and an investigation by a team of specialist officers was launched immediately.
"An officer was also suspended at that time. He remains suspended while this investigation continues."
