Police have issued an urgent appeal to trace a missing teenager not seen for more than 24 hours. Sophie Scawthorn, from Wrightington, went missing from her home between Mossy Lea and Wrightington Bar at around 7pm on Saturday (April 15).
Her family have not heard from her since, with Lancashire Police saying they are now 'extremely worried' about her. The 15-year-old has links to Eccleston and Heskin and may try to use Wigan Bus Station.
Sophie is described as being of slim build and around 5ft 5ins tall, with dark brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a black zip up hooded top, black leggings, black trainers and was carrying a pink handbag.

Greater Manchester Police also shared the appeal due to her possible links to Wigan and the nearby area, and urged anyone with any information to come forward immediately.
The appeal read: "Have you seen Sophie Scawthorn, 15, from Wrightington? She was last seen at her home address between Mossy Lea and Wrightington Bar at around 7pm yesterday (Saturday).
"She has not been heard from since and we are extremely worried about her. Sophie is described as 5ft 5ins, of slim build, with dark brown shoulder-length hair. She was last seen wearing a black, zipped, hooded top, black leggings, black trainers and was carrying a pink handbag. She has links to Eccleston and Heskin. She may try to use Wigan Bus Station."
Anybody with information is asked to get in touch on 101, quoting log 1616 of April 15th.
